Tenured, tenure track, and research faculty in the College of Engineering who have a 100% appointments may receive additional compensation for extra teaching responsibilities in certain circumstances. To accomplish this, they should receive a salary supplement, without additional effort.
The following are the earnings code to use in additional pay:
* For non-credit course use the NCC Non-credit Course Employee
* For a for-credit course use the SAL Salary Supplement
This avoids use of the descriptor ‘overload’, an imprecise term when 100% effort is undefined as an enforced standard
